Can my existing panel handle an EV charger?
Many can, some can't. It depends on your service size and everything else already on it. We run a load calculation before quoting and give you the answer in writing, along with options if capacity is short.
Hardwired or plug-in — which is better?
Hardwired is generally the more robust install and is required by some equipment at higher amperages. Plug-in offers flexibility if you may move or replace the unit. We'll walk through both for your specific charger.
Do I need a permit for an EV charger?
Yes, EV charger circuits are permitted and inspected. IES handles the permit and inspection coordination as part of the installation.
Can you install a charger I already bought?
Yes. Bring us the model and we'll confirm the circuit requirements and mounting details before we schedule.
